Red is an action thriller film in the Indian Telugu language. Directed by Kishore Tirumala and produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore under the banner of Sri Sravanthi Movies. The film stars Ram Pothineni, Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma, and Amritha Aiyer in the title roles. Red is selected to appear on the screen in 2020 [India].

An official remake of the 2019 Tamil film Thadam written by Magizh Thirumeni, stars Ram Pothineni in a dual role alongside Nivetha Pethuraj, Malvika Sharma, and Amritha Aiyer. The Red launch was scheduled for April 9, 2020. The launch was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There were rumors that the film could be released on an over-the-top (OTT) media service, but Ram denied this and confirmed that the film would be released in theaters. The film is rescheduled for a January 2021 release on the occasion of Sankranthi.

The story has been written by Magizh Thirumeni, who also wrote and directed the original film, and the music has been composed by Mani Sharma. Sameer Reddy handled the cinematography, while Peter Hein choreographed the action sequences. It is Ram’s eighteenth film as an actor.
