No matter your gender, orientation, political opinions, or religion, there are objects in this world that our brains, consciously or not, will remind you of. Or at least something. The technical term for this is arousal, but we also know it as “getting aroused.” Your heart rate increases, you may breathe a little faster than just now, and blood begins to flow to different places. Don’t be taken by surprise and wonder why you got turned on the next time you smell a candle – when your brain sees things or just thinks of things that remind you of a past experience, it can happen. Here is a list of ten everyday objects that excite people.
10. Video Game Controllers

Now with vibration intensity settings? Oh, it’s fine. Sometime between the great toilet paper shortage of 2020 and now, many of us needed a few new and old hobbies to keep us sane. Lots of men, women, and everyone in the middle, took the sticks (a controller) and played at least a few rounds of videos. Halfway through the game, your phone rings with a notification. You put the roller on your lap and watch a funny Snapchat.
Meanwhile, your video game avatar is violently assaulted by a mushroom-shaped walking creature (see Goomba). This sends a vibrational jolt to the controller that is resting on his lap. Suddenly, for some completely unrelated reason, you remember to text your significant other telling them that you will come later.
9. “I Voted” Sticker

By definition, this is not an everyday object. But, to defend my case, when is a bad time to promote the vote? Also, you should see this object every voting day. Now that my editor is happy: nothing gets a bloody red, white and blue patriot to take a look at someone’s “I voted” sticker. He sees someone who conforms to his orientation go through proof that he did his civic duty, and suddenly November has never been this hot. You are likely lying to yourself if you don’t get turned on when you go to Starbucks on Election Day and see that girl or boy with bumper stickers on her aura of superiority. Your mind goes straight to the gutter of the Washington DC swamp.
But seriously, it says a lot about a person if they show any kind of concern for their community. It can be a very desirable trait. It is not strange that I look for someone who is informed and cares about the direction of our country. It is what you are looking for in a partner. The desire to be with someone based on that silly sticker, guess what, that’s what turns you on.
8. Books

is a common trait that makes people feel attracted to intelligence. What is the stereotypical sign that someone is (probably) smart? Books. Books can be very exciting. Now obviously, or rather hopefully, no one is wandering around the public library because of the intense rush it provides. But when we nervously enter the abode of a romantic interest for the first time, and we see Maya Angelou, Mark Twain, or Tolkien sitting at the coffee table, that. Is in.
7. Laundry

I have recently accepted the overwhelming task of doing laundry; making him my enemy wasn’t helping anyone. Wait. Sorry no, washing clothes sucks. There is no reconciliation with washing clothes. Stinks. But, if it’s not ours, it’s a completely different story.
Whether it’s a huge pile or a neatly folded pile, our brains can’t help but associate the butt-enhancing boxer briefs of our loved ones or their rustic granny panties with fond memories. While they may currently be standing in the doorway with 4 layers of puffy coats, those clothes on the floor across the room, they took off at some point; Think of it that way, and like it or not, it’s on.
6. Mirrors

No one should judge someone by what turns them on. If you get excited looking in a full-length mirror after a shower, more power to you. Are you narcissistic? Maybe, but not necessarily. It is more likely our natural reaction to seeing a naked body. Even if it is our own body, the fact that we are naked and looking at it can seem scandalous. The social taboo of nudity is a common source of arousal of emotions.
Then, of course, there is the flip side. Many people suffer from poor body image. In which case, mirrors can have the opposite effect. Try to remember that there is no one more critical, more critical of your flaws than you. No one has spent more time looking for blemishes, oversized pores, or different size eyes than you. This won’t turn into a lecture on the power of positive thinking, but suffice it to say that unpleasant thoughts can lead to unpleasant people. Force yourself to find an aspect of your body that you like. Get in the habit of appreciating it every time you look in a mirror, and this everyday object could start to turn you on.
5. Foam Rollers

Let’s tackle now: it’s not the elongated shape of the foam rollers that turns people on. Or maybe it is, to each his own. Next, for anyone who does not have a foam roller, you should know that it is a very everyday object for people who do. There are few better sensations than having that foam cushion applying the weight of gravity under pressure as it moves down your back toward the top of your butt. After a long day, it is pure happiness. Continued use of a foam roller helps relieve back pain, improves flexibility, and helps your muscles work more efficiently. You feel ready for anything.
As the Journal of Sports Physical Therapy puts it, the foam roller “probably [allows you] to perform your workouts better, more efficiently, and safer.” Given the topic of the article you’re reading, you can probably guess specifically what kind of partner-based workouts you’d be willing to try.
4. Shower Heads

There are no tricks or veiled personality traits here. Physical stimulation of sensitive areas of our body is the way we normally imagine arousal to take place. And that’s what showerheads do; Their potential to turn you on is as simple as you can imagine. Unfortunately for us, farmers whose bathrooms are not equipped with handheld showerheads, this may not apply. arousal aside, handheld showerheads are just plain fun to play with. And when you run into one, remember, you have no one to blame other than yourself when you end up spraying the entire bathroom because you turned it an inch in the wrong direction. Also, be aware of the water pressure. Oh.
3. Candy

Forget about the erotic allusions to eating lollipops. Science has literally proven that certain types of candy turn you on. The main ingredient in chocolate, cocoa, is a vasodilator. Which means it increases blood flow. While it’s not as potent as its creepy uncle’s Viagra, cocoa does facilitate blood flow to certain areas of your body. But that’s not even the most obvious reason why candy turns you on. Eating sweets releases serotonin and dopamine, the happy chemicals in our brain. Put yourself in the right place, optional romantic partner, eat some chocolate and yes, it happened again: on.
2. Glasses

Within the same realm, glasses can be exciting. While it is contradictory to the idea that animals choose the most genetically suitable mate to produce offspring, decreased eyesight does not matter to some people. In fact, some prefer you with them because “you look like an intellectual,” according to your mom’s friend from yoga class. Glasses can change the way others perceive your facial features – an illusion, no doubt. If it’s an attractive illusion, I’m sorry, but you’re turning people on.
Poor vision matters even less if we spot a classy pair of designer glasses, possibly indicating wealthy status or simply good taste in fashion. Both of these traits, when you see them at the checkout line at Target, can make you feel as excited as ever.
1. Candles

Candles affect two of the senses that play a very important role in lighting, sight, and smell. For vision, we have the faint flickers of candlelight. This dimming, for whatever reason, can create the right mood for two couples over dinner. A much more powerful aspect of the candles that light you is the smell. Your smell can be one of the most powerful senses to stimulate memories. That, and there are certain smells that science has shown, turn us on.
While many of these smells are body odors, they are generally arousal-enhancing by-products at a later stage – you got aroused a while ago. That is why you are now 2 centimeters from your partner’s face and in their embrace. But to get to that stage: candles. Vanilla, ginger, jasmine, neroli, sandalwood, the list goes on. Light a wax incarnation of these smells, turn off the ceiling lights, and the stage is set for that 2-centimeter separation.
